Farman Biplane of 1906.When the wrights went to Europe in 1906 several French aviators had already flown their own aircraft on short hops and they felt that the Wright's claims of having flown since 1903 were spurious. Their demonstration of 3-axis control at Pau silenced all their critics. This Farman could fly a few hundred yards at a time with very marginal control. This model is also from 'Vehicles of the Air'.
